SERENGETI SYSTEMS RELEASES VERSION 5.0 OF ITS SUCCESSFUL DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SOLUTION; NOW A TRUE CORPORATE DMS

Serengeti, the Oracle Certified Partner today released Version 5.0 of e-intranet, the DMS that achieved tremendous success in Local Government Planning, Revenue and Benefits Departments, HR departments as well as in Higher Education and Housing Markets. Release 5.0 distinguishes itself from previous releases that addressed specific departmental needs by being the first true corporate solution.

The key enhancements are:

1. a fully integrated solution supporting the introduction of corporate document management either in a single step or in a phased approach
2. all access is department and role based with technical administrators having no access to documents
3. ease of maintenance delegated out to departmental administrators
4. improved UI, icons based, pagination, with favourites for searches and recent documents
5. new integrated and performance enhanced scanning with reporting and audit trail
6. detailed audit trail for each document
7. integrated workflow supporting sequential, parallel, and people based workflows
8. user identity management fully integrated with Oracle Internet Directory thus supporting industry standards, such as LDAP protocol
9. as before, with the solution being Oracle 10g based the product is highly scalable to 10s of 1000’s of users

Release 5.0 can be fully integrated with all of the company’s specific departmental applications as required. The new release can be demonstrated online from today. The first client of Serengeti will be going live with e-intranet 5.0 in May 07.
