Planning departments have been under pressure to deliver a faster service from the public, professionals and Central Government for a number of years, the pressure just keeps building as the government announces new ways of working and the need to build more affordable housing as detailed in the latest Planning Policy Statement 3. In addition all councils are charged with delivering efficiency savings of 2.5% in accordance with the Gershon review.

All documents associated with an application including scanned, electronic and multimedia items such as plans and drawings, letters, photos, videos, decision notices etc are captured into Serengeti’s powerful e-intranet solution and distributed by our people centric workflow engine. All documents can be displayed via the councils website using our Public Access module.

In addition Serengeti have ensured that planning officers can not only view documents but take measurements including angles and areas, add notes and annotations, draw lines and make amendments and maintain the integrity of the original documents.
